5th 6th Grade Camp Wednesday 2012

5th & 6th Grade Camp Wednesday!

It has been another full day at the Woods! During morning watch (devotions) the campers read Joshua 1:1-9. Chapel continued with lots of fun songs and an energizer of course! (If you do not know what an energizer is, ask your campers when they arrive home) Neal spoke on being strong and courageous on our journey with Jesus. He told a great story about Dane's fear of fish and we watched a video on learning to overcome our fears. Neal told how God called Joshua to lead his people into the promise land.

Lunch was a great adventure. The campers followed a clue to a team building activity and when they solved that they were lead to another location where a picnic lunch awaited them. The afternoon was filled with lake activities and games and activities at the dining hall. Friendship bracelets continue to be a favorite for all ages.

This evening chapel was about resting. Neal spoke from Mark 2:23-28. Neal stressed the importance of not only times of rest but also about resting in Jesus. Taking time to sleep and also to spend time with God in scripture.

This evening it is all about water games!!!! The campers are participating in 7 stations of water activities. We are certain some will try and claim it counts as a shower! (probably the same ones who wanted to count the lake as a bath!). The evening will end with a vespers service, highs and lows, and evening devotions. (Last night several camper accepted Christ as their savior and were able to ring the bell at the old chapel) We never tire of hearing that sound!
